Loan Market to strengthen the online presence of brokers

Loan Market has launched a new internal function to support the development of new technologies for its brokers.

The Broker Group’s digital team now consists of seven web developers who will work internally to enhance existing platforms and create new platforms for brokers to use within their own businesses.

Jason Furnell, head of Loan Market Digital, said the new offering is focused on increasing the profiles of online brokers and streamlining their business processes.

“We’ve already been involved in the launch of new web profiles for brokers, a new intranet and lead management tools – and there’s a lot more to come,” he said.

“The ultimate goal is to really ensure that our online and offline experience for consumers is seamless – to create well-informed Australians as well as a well-regarded brand in the lending market.”

Loan Market said it sees itself as a driver of digital innovation as well as gender equality, with four out of seven web developers being women.

Angie Gove, one of Loan Market Digital’s developers, said it was “pretty unique” that the group launched an all-female team, rather than developing one over time.
